Discover the Best Website Builder for Non-Coders in 2022
Making a website can seem extremely difficult. You may think that you first need a solid understanding of JavaScript or another scripting language, along with HTML and/or CSS. From there, you'll need to find a website hosting service to put your website, where you'll need to pay a monthly or yearly fee to keep it online. Each step of this process requires a great deal of time, even for the most experienced web developers.
Luckily, Jemi exists.
Jemi makes building a website easier than ever - and all for free. We group each of those complicated steps listed above in an easy-to-use, intuitive experience that allows you to make an awesome website in minutes. This article will be a comprehensive breakdown of all the features Jemi offers to make your website stand out from the rest. If you need help getting your website started, check out our guide here.

Pre-Made Templates

During the onboarding process, Jemi will present an array of templates to choose from. Pick the one you like best and continue through the remaining steps. You'll be able to change your template later too if you'd like! These templates range from artsy to fully professional, allowing you full control of your website's tone and message. From a school portfolio to full-blown e-commerce juggernaut, Jemi is guaranteed to have a template that suits your needs.
And if you're not satisfied with what's offered? You can further modify existing templates using the website builder, which we'll get into below.

Website Builder

Jemi's website builder gives a structured approach to web development. You won't need to worry about margin spacing or header width using Jemi - it's all taken care of for you. There's a lot to unpack though, so let's start with the basics.

Editor

The editor menu will help you change different features on your website. Simply select the item you want to change, then click the Edit button that appears next to the item. For example, selecting Edit Section will bring up the editor. From here, you'll be able to change the theme, layout, and button formats found within the section as shown here:

You can directly edit text boxes, like so:

Make sure to play around with the editor for different features, like images or buttons to ensure you get the right style for your website!

Pages

The Pages tab can be found right next to the editor tab on the right-side drop down menu. If you don't see it, select the Edit Website button on the top left of the website builder. This should bring up the right-side menu and the pages tab will be available.

Here, you'll be able to manage different pages on your website. Just click on the page you want to edit, and you'll be able to rename, set as the home page, or delete your page. You can also hide pages that you don't want displayed on your site. This is a good option if you're in the middle of creating a new page, but still want to keep the rest of your website looking professional. If you need more than the 2 pages provided in Jemi's free plan, consider upgrading to the Pro Plan, which gives you an unlimited amount!

Website

The website menu outlines various settings for your Jemi site. Under the basic settings you'll be able to change yours:

Use these settings to make global changes to your website rather than having to go through each section!
Below the basic settings, you'll have access to more advanced features, such as:

Most of these settings are best utilized with access to the Jemi Pro Plan. If you need certain features, such as custom code integration, we recommend considering the Jemi Pro Plan.

Blog

One of the best features Jemi offers is the ability to integrate blog posts into your website! Select the blog tab from the menu on the left. Now you can easily create a blog post and add it to your website. Make sure you include a space for the blog post on your site either through the website builder or by creating a new page of your site specifically for your blog. Other than that, this feature is pretty self-explanatory once you try it out.

Commerce

Jemi's built-in e-commerce features are second to none when it comes to integration and pricing. It's absolutely free to start selling on Jemi, which is huge for anyone interested in starting or taking their business online (for a guide to start selling online, click here). Commerce features on Jemi can be broken down into five categories: Products, Memberships, Order, Earnings, and Payouts. We'll briefly cover each one below.

Products

Here you'll be able to manage the products you display on your website. Similar to the blog post, you'll need to either allocate a spot on the website builder or dedicate a page to display your product. In the example above, there is a simple donation feature already loaded. However, you can sell anything from digital memberships to t-shirts!

Membership

Next up is the membership tab. Here you can create and manage memberships for your Jemi site. This is an invaluable tool for creators looking to monetize their content and follower base. Just name your membership, add a quick description, and you're ready to go! This tool makes it easy to set up a membership with different tiers, both free and paid.

Orders

The orders tab will help you keep track of your sales. This tab will organize all sales made on your Jemi account by name, making it easy for you to see who your biggest supporters are! If you're using Jemi for an online business, this feature is essential for tracking purchases, especially if they're tied to shipping physical products.

Earnings

Here you can view and manage your earnings from purchases made on your Jemi site. In order for you to get paid by Jemi, you'll need to connect a bank account or to your Paypal. Simply follow the steps prompted after selecting the Connect Debit or Bank Account button.

Payouts

The payouts tab will display all payouts made by Jemi to you. Nothing fancy here, just a simple viewing area to see your store's success!

Community

Followers

If your Jemi website has any followers, you'll be able to keep track of them through the Community tab. This tab will display all current followers of your site, giving you easy access to view and manage your community. If you want to add followers from a third-party site like Mailchimp, see the integrations section below.

Members

As covered above, Jemi allows you to sell memberships as part of its built-in commerce features. Under this tab, you'll be able to track your current and past members for your existing memberships. Having access to past members is useful too, as you'll have the potential to regain these lost members with proper outreach.

Integrations

The integrations tab is primarily for users that use Jemi for business or large scale community management. These additional integration features are for Pro Plan users only. Here, you'll be able to add powerful integrations like Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and Mailchimp to your Jemi site. This is an awesome way to supercharge your website, especially if you're running an online store. Learn more in-depth about how to use these integrations to enhance your website here.
